| We arrived in Grand Caymon early this afternoon and we've already had an exhausting day! It took us a little while to adjust to driving on the left side of the road and we got lost a couple of times, but we finally made it to our 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 story oceanfront condo. We took a swim in the pool and the ocean, and then went into town to pick up veggie meat at the ABC and some groceries for the week. Everything here is beautiful!
Our turd of a car!

The first floor of our condo More pics coming soon, but we're off for another swim for now! | | |
| Wow it has been a long time since I wrote on this thing. I suppose school, work and wedding planning will do that to a person! Given a toffee recipe that fits quite nicely on a notecard could you write a six page paper on the preparation of it? I didn't think I could either, but alas, it is finished! And I know more about toffee, nonenzymatic reactions and measuring techniques than I ever wanted to! | | |
| "Christ does not drive but draws men unto Him. The only compulsion which He employs is the contraint of love. When the church begins to seek for the support of secular power, it is evident that she is devoid of the power of Christ- the contraint of divine love." | "When we take into our hands the management of things with which we have to do, and depend upon our own wisdom for success, we are taking a burden which God has not given us, and are trying to bear it without His aid. We are taking upon ourselves the responsibility that belongs to God, and thus are really putting ourselves in His place. We may well have anxiety and anticipate danger and loss, for it is certain to befall us. But when we really believe that God loves us and means to do us good we shall cease to worry about the future. We shall trust God as a child trusts a loving parent. Then our troubles and torments will disappear, for our will is swallowed up in the will of God....One day alone is ours, and during this day we are to live for God. For this one day we are to place in the hands of Christ, in solemn service, all our purposes and plans, casting all our care upon Him, for He careth for us.... If you will seek the Lord and be converted everyday; if you will of your own spiritual choice be free and joyous in God; if with gladsome consent of heart to His gracious call you will come wearing the yoke of Christ- the yoke of obedience and service- all your murmurings will be stilled, all your difficulties will be removed, all the perplexing problems that now confront you will be solved." ~Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing p.100-101

| I have recently been receiving some emails from my brother who is serving as a Corporal for the United States Marine Corp. He is currently on a Navy ship, the Whidbey Island, in the Arabian Sea. I just received these pictures this morning from his recent travels in Europe and then in Lebanon when his unit was evacuating people. My brother and I have always been pretty close, so this whole not being able to communicate thing is kind of weird, especially because he's at a point where he's trying to figure out his own spiritual life. He needs all of our prayers, as do all the other men and women who are serving our country. Thanks for praying for him, and have a Happy Sabbath! My brother is very well known for his goofy self-portraits!
